Minutes of the fourth General Body Meeting held on
The fourth General Body meeting of the Ashraya Layout Residents Welfare Association – Stage I & II (Regd) was held on

4. Sri Kesu Namboodiri welcomed the gathering. The president expressed unhappiness on the lack of presence of the members and termed as a ‘Discouraging Factor’ as in such situation no meaningful or useful debate / discussion can take place. He desired that at least the future meetings should be taken seriously and well patronized. Then the President thanked the BBMP, Civic Authorities for tarring the approach roads and commencing the Box drainage. The president stressed the members to pay their subscription payments duly to strengthen association’s finances to carryout any developmental activities.
5. Thereafter, Dr. Lokanath Rao, launched the Association’s Website, designed and developed by Sri Arun Manthalkar.
6. Speaking on the website, Sri Rao thanked Mr. Arun for the initiative and effort in developing the website. The members expressed that the website will help them to be in touch with the Association’s activities.

8. The financial reports, Secretary’s report and minutes of the last GB were generally considered by the General Body and were adopted. A resolution to this effect was passed.
9. The house thereafter, discussed on the SAKRAMA – AKRAMA scheme. Dr Rao clarified some of the queries on the same. Also to a query, Dr. Rao expressed his views that the Government is considering refund of the Sakrama fees for those who paid and the revised scheme would be published by the end of 2008. Dr. Rao also briefed the house that the majority of people are against CVS and as per the leading news papers; the Government is reconsidering SAS with little modifications.
10. Sri Subrmanian urged the members to come forward and construct a small house to ward off their properties and help in overall development of the layout.
11. Mr. Nair, who was handling the responsibility as Treasurer of the Association for a long time, expressed his desire to relieve him from this responsibility due to health conditions. The house accepted Mr. Nair’s views and thanked him for the invaluable contribution in the Associations activities. The house then appointed Mr. A S Krishnan as new Treasurer of the Association. Mr Nair will continue as EC member.
